Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil.

How can we carry out this command in our families? What areas of our family life are important to consider in order to follow God's "wisdom"? In what areas should God rule our families? All families will not look the same in how they carry out God's will for them. We aren't called to look exactly like one another. BUT we are called to evaluate our homes to see if we are truly being wise in the decisions we make as a family. Too often, we do what is easy, fun and convenient. As a result we may not be living according to God's ways. Those in charge of families have been given a responsibility to train up our children according to God's ways. How do we find out God's ways? Seek out the Bible and pray. Too often we run to the Christian bookstore or to our best friend for the answers to our family. (I am very guilty of this!) I pray that we can seek God each day for all areas of our family life.
